The first all-HD cable system in Okinawa, Japan

MBC is a digital cable operator in Okinawa Japan based on the turn-key solution from Telelynx, including digital headend, CAS, and STB.  MBC wants to improve its subscriber’s user experience and thus decides to convert all SD channels to HD.  Telelynx delivers its world-famous H.264 HD encoders to MBC in Okinawa Japan to convert all SD channels to HD, making it the first cable operator to deliver all HD channels in Okinawa, Japan.

MBC further selects Telelynx as its supplier for Electronic Program Guide (EPG), which assists subscriber to check program schedule and program information by a simple click on the remote control. The seven- day EPG information also enables subscribers to select which channels they want to record in advance.  After the deployment of all-HD and EPG systems, subscriber satisfaction level has reached an all time high.
